After Last Year’s Success, Aice Returns to the SenengMinton Festival 2025 to Support Indonesia’s Future Badminton Champions
TINEMU.COM – Ice cream producer Aice signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indonesian Olympic Committee (NOC Indonesia) during the NOC General Assembly held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025. This partnership marks a significant step in private sector support for the development of national sports.
The support focuses on Team Indonesia’s preparation for international competitions across various sports, including the 2028 Olympics. Kicking off in early 2025, Aice accompanied Team Indonesia at The 9th Asian Winter Games in Harbin.
This support will continue across several other international multi-sport events throughout 2025, including the Asian Youth Games in Manama, the Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh, and the SEA Games in Thailand.
The signing of the MoU also signifies the start of a broader triple-helix collaboration between the NOC, the private sector, and national athletes. Aice will serve as a strategic partner, supporting Indonesian athletes on their journey to global achievement.
Aice's commitment to advancing national sports is reflected not only in technical and non-technical contributions but also through public campaigns that raise awareness of the importance of supporting athletes.
Throughout 2024, Aice closely collaborated with NOC Indonesia and Indonesian athletes, including the campaign “Towards Paris, Cheer for Indonesia!” This initiative was a point of pride for Aice, particularly in encouraging public support for national athletes.
This support became even more meaningful when Indonesian athletes, fueled by this momentum, secured 2 gold medals and 1 silver medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics, bringing pride to the nation on the international stage.
According to Simon, Vice President of Supply Assurance at Aice Group, the company’s involvement goes beyond sponsorship—it actively participates in developing the full potential of Indonesian athletes.
“Aice wants to initiate a multi-stakeholder collective movement from both the sports and private sectors to jointly build pride in national sports achievements,” said Simon.
“Behind our joyful ice cream packaging lies a strong belief in the potential for collective contribution in sports—from spirit and struggle to solidarity in supporting the achievements of our national athletes,” he added.
Raja Sapta Oktohari, Chairman of the Indonesian Olympic Committee, emphasized in his remarks that cross-sector collaboration is key to strengthening Indonesia’s sports ecosystem. This partnership is a real example of how public-private cooperation can accelerate sporting excellence.
“Let’s continue this journey with the spirit of collaboration, innovation, and an unyielding Merah Putih (Red and White—the Indonesian flag), while amplifying the spirit of ‘Together for Excellence’ every step of the way,” he stated.
Aice has consistently supported Indonesian sports teams. Previously, Aice was also a sponsor of Team Indonesia at the 2024 Olympics, serving as the Official Ice Cream of Team Indonesia and the Official Pre-packaged Ice Cream Brand in Southeast Asia for the 2022 World Cup.
Strengthening Sporting Excellence
Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Taufik Hidayat, who was present at the opening ceremony, highlighted the importance of synergy between the private sector and government in reinforcing the sports ecosystem in Indonesia.
“The Ministry of Youth and Sports encourages strong collaboration among the NOC, sports federations, and other stakeholders. With the spirit of gotong royong (mutual cooperation), Indonesia’s sports achievements will continue to grow and bring honor to the nation,” Taufik added.
The MoU signing was also witnessed by several key figures: Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs Maman Abdurrahman, Governor of Jakarta Pramono Anung, and Chairman of the Indonesian Regional Representative Council (DPD RI) Sultan Bachtiar Najamudin.
